The nine shows of Eurovision 2027, one by one

Three live broadcasts, three jury rehearsals and three afternoon rehearsals: how the week at Arena Burgas is put together.

The guide › The shows

Eurovision week is often described as three shows. In fact nine separate events are ticketed between 10 and 15 May 2027, because each live broadcast is preceded by a full rehearsal with an audience and followed, on the day, by an afternoon run-through.

Nine shows in total: three live broadcasts and six rehearsals open to the public. Rehearsal times have not been published; the EBU has confirmed the six public rehearsals but not their start times.

What a jury rehearsal is

The jury rehearsal is the full show, performed the evening before the live broadcast, in front of the national juries. It exists so that the juries can vote on a performance that has been technically validated — sound, cameras, staging — without the pressure of a live transmission. For the audience it is the closest thing to the live show, usually with the same running order and the same production.

What an afternoon rehearsal is

The afternoon rehearsal happens on the day of the live show. It is a run-through rather than a full performance, and it is the cheapest way to see the production. The EBU has confirmed that six rehearsals will be open to the public but has not published their start times.

Nine ticketed events, three broadcasts. The rehearsals are not warm-ups for the audience — they are the product the arena sells on the other six nights.

Why the timetable matters

If you are travelling for the contest, the dates decide the flights: the first semi-final is on Tuesday 11 May, the second on Thursday 13 May, the final on Saturday 15 May. The jury rehearsals fall on the evenings of 10, 12 and 14 May, and the afternoon rehearsals on 11, 13 and 15 May. A trip built around the final therefore spans 14–15 May; a trip built around a semi-final starts two days earlier.

What has not been published

The running order, the rehearsal start times, the interval acts, the presenters and the seating plan are all still open. The allocation draw that decides which countries sing in which semi-final takes place in Burgas in January 2027.
